24 hours of not being able to connect to the www..... and I was ready to tear my hair out wondering what to do......

Aol developed a sudden glitch yesterday morning; it allowed one to connect to Aol but not to the rest of the world - gave a "page cannot be displayed" error for any website either in Aol or in IE. Now, in normal circumstances, I would just have grumbled and sat it out,but here, I was very worried. The reason being that I've been experimenting with Mr.R's IBM laptop - deleting spyware, uninstalling some programs, creating disk space, fiddling with anti-virus software.... and I thought that perhaps my butter fingers were responsible for doing some unintended damage.....

Was glad to know from Aol's message boards that many other users were also equally fed-up, so that made me very happy :) Breathed a very big sigh of relief and a kiss to God that it SUDDENLY started working a few mins ago. Alleluia!
