A MILESTONE

My first article in the Western Press was published last week. This was a story on our experiences of moving house recently and was published in the local paper.

A post on Ray's blog reminded me of my English teacher in the eighth standard , Mrs Purnima Kumar, she of the impeccable English, chiffon sarees and matching beads. I hold Mrs. K solely responsible for getting the writing bug into me. For better or worse, she loved my essays, compositions and especially my most memorable work in school - An Autobiography of a Pencil. It is her encouragement at that time, so many years ago, that helped me believe that I could write.

All it takes is just one person to believe in you. Just one.
