End of Summer Time
It's a creepy feeling.
It's about five in the evening and I feel like an eclipse has just happened. It was bright until 4.45. Within fifteen minutes, it went from dusk to dark. It's pitch black outside as I write. An eerie feeling - every time I look outside, my brain tells me to have dinner and go to sleep. It's that kind of midnight black.
The clocks have gone back an hour yesterday morning marking the official end of Summertime. The weather report predicts Frost and a -2 Friday night. This winter, they say, will be the coldest in years. Scares me to death, but I'm counting on global warming to prove them wrong.
Oh well, Happy Diwali anyway! Maybe the lights in the Mumbai sky will brighten up our evenings here - there will be enough fireworks anyway!
