A weekend at Stratford-upon-Avon

We spent the weekend in Shakespeare's country - our second trip there. We were invited to spend the weekend with Mr R's uncle from Germany, who is spending a week here enjoying the performances at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford.

Mr R spent the weekend with a high temperature, which I caught too. The break was a welcome one though and we both felt relaxed at the end of it.

Saturday night saw us watching a splendid performance of 'Great Expectations' at the RSC. The narration and the props were both very creative and well done.

We spent Sunday morning walking around the Avon, post a hearty English breakfast. The morning was delightful with streams of sunshine and lots of people taking a walk. The pictures echo the lovely morning that we had.
