Travel agents for India
Anybody knows of a decent travel agent in London/suburbs for tickets to India? We've been dealing with Welcome (hah!) Travels in Gt Portland Street and the service is pretty horrifying. You have to put up with a lot of crap to get someone to talk to you and take your booking. Staffed completely by Indians, complaints are ignored. Even letters in writing don't get a response.
Looking out for a replacement so do let me know.
Do the rest of you book online directly?
A new travel related website just launched called 500Trips.com. It lists websites where you can find the 500 Most Popular Trips in the world!
ReplyDeleteTheir Press Release has been featured on Google and Yahoo.
The top 500 trip links are available to the travel related industry through 500Trips.com. Each one of these trip tags receive thousands and even tens of thousands of searches each month. These are the most searched for trips on the internet, and they have just been made available.
We have used something called Anand travels in East Ham and they are pretty decent (usually about £20 cheaper than the big guns at Southall Travel). You can google them for the contact details, book by phone, pay by card or cheque. But I would get them to fax you a copy or spell out your name about 15 times aas they are a bit errant with spelling!
ReplyDeleteSorry can't help! But it's great to know you are going to be in India! May I ask, which part and when? I am guessing it's Mumbai...
ReplyDeleteLast time I got a great deal through expedia. Once you get the airline offering the cheapest ticket you could also check directly on the airline website - sometimes that gives a better price.
ReplyDeleteYes, I buy most tickets online. Have had my fill of useless, cheating agents.
