Funding the Future

I was at Westminster today; the second time in six months. This time, I was a delegate at the Funding the Future 2006 conference organised by Action Planning UK. The event was a mixed bag of talks from ministers, leading figures in the Third Sector and major funders. It was insightful just to listen to these influential people talk about policy and programmes. I am fairly new to the industry, and it was good to confirm what I've already learnt in the past 18 months : there's money around for the work that you do, but only if you know clearly what you want and make your application keeping the funders priorities in mind.

In all, a good event for networking and interacting with senior people from other charities, trusts and funders.
