...while shopping today...

A four year old girl sits forlornly on the steps of a shop with her pram, while mum browses quickly. Girl gets fed-up of being bored, tries to get mum's attention. Mum ignores her. Girl tries again. Gets a cursory glance. Increasing her volume and making conversation seems to be a tried and tested way of getting mum to acknowledge her presence.

Mum gets fed up. She turns and says, "Tum bahut bore karti ho" and carries on, blind to the crestfallen look on the child's face.
