A visit to Roald Dahl museum

Mr R and I spent a fun afternoon at the Roald Dahl museum, a short drive away from where we live.

Whether you are a fan or not, you will enjoy learning about Dahl's life, his childhood and his work. The museum is delightful in the way the displays include tricks from his books (doors made to resemble Wonka chocolate, giant books stacked on the floor, rubber stamps with favorite characters). A trip on your own should not take you more than an hour; expect two if you're going with a child.

For a writer's perspective on the place, read my post here.

Read some fun facts on Dahl here.

Read an early draft of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory here.
