Wednesday

My article is live on Zinos.com

My elbow hurts. Accident prone me. I waste time figuring out where I might have hurt it when I should have known ((but, of course!) that it was in the process of doing a Jackie Chan last evening in the train. Will survive.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is Optional.

A question for today

What tickles your 'awe bone'? What inspires your sense of wonder? The changing colors of the sea as clouds move by overhead? The tiny fingers of a newborn wrapped around your thumb?

Here are my responses :
Tall buildings
Bridges in the sea
Aeroplanes
Helicopters
Elevators
Dark clouds before a stormy evening
The Telephone
The Internet
Photography/Film (The magic of capturing images on paper)
PC Printers (How do the colors know exactly where to go?)
Luxury hotels with good service
Excellence
Calculators!
Magic (David Blaine, Harry Potter & Co.)
Donald Shimoda
Love

Does anybody have an explanation for the constant digging up of perfectly good roads in this city? First they concretise a road after a year of work - Fair enough, we are sensible citizens and we make allowances in the name of progress. Then, six months later (or seven) they're back again! Digging up the SAME stretch of road! What is this? An employment scheme by the BMC/PWD?!

They've dug up the road
They've dug up the station
Soon, at this rate
They'll dig up the nation

Wonderful Wednesday!
I'm having a good hair day. That's a good enough reason to be happy!

I have learnt that a good way to wake up in time each morning is to keep many alarms. I have three. The first one on my cell phone which I put off as soon as it rings, so it gets postponed for about 10 mins while I go back to sleep; the second one about 10 minutes later wakes me up a little, but with this weather one can never be sure; SO there's a back-up alarm clock which rings about 20 mins after the first one.By this time, I'm reasonably awake. I'm so smart.
