In Retrospect

Another list I make at the end of the year is to review the events of the past 12 months and hopefully learn from it. (Give a writer a chance to write and well, sometimes you get lists!)

This list in particular is like a summary of my year - when reading my posts/diary entries becomes too much (even for me!), this is a good way to remind myself of what has been.

2005 was a good year for a lot of us personally (atleast people I know). Hope the good luck spreads to everybody else too!

Here's to 12 glorious months of 2006!

2005 in Retrospect

January - Got married, left home, moved countries.

February - braved the winter, tasted snow, moved houses.

March - Came back to India for Easter

April - Mr R started a new job. I joined my runners group for a 6 week beginners course. Trip to the Cotswolds. Got published in local paper.

May -Trip to Wales.

June - Completed the beginners course, stayed on. Started working with an NGO. Completed the Jubilee Run with over 100 other women runners. Went for the GOMECO reunion with Mr R.

July - The Proms begin. Saw Ravi & Anoushka Shanker, Zubin Mehta and Bobby McFerrin perform besides a dozen others. London Bombings - dealt with suspicious looks from fellow passengers on tube trains and London buses. Could not blame them for generalising, for I felt the same way.

August - Trip to Switzerland.

September - Baby Brother arrives on a 6 week training with BA.

October - Saw Asha Bhosle and the Kronos Quartet perform at the Barbican. Mr R participates in a weekend Music Camp. Saw Michael Bolton and Vonda Shephard perform at the Albert Hall.

November - Attempted NaNoWriMo 2005. Saw the 'Persians' exhibition at the British Museum. Saw the wonderful Rossetta stone.

December - Another trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. Christmas and NY in Mumbai-Mangalore-Goa. Flight delays for each departure without exception.
